かいほうかん【開放感】

a sense [feeling, sensation] of space; a sense of (unobstructed) spaciousness.

●海辺の開放感 the sense of space that one feels by the sea.

●開放感のある(家の)構造 an unobstructed [uncluttered] construction; a construction that gives a sense of spaciousness.

かいほうかん【解放感】

a sense of liberation [release]; a feeling [sense, sensation] of freedom.

●解放感に浸る allow a feeling of freedom to pervade one; revel in a feeling of freedom.

●解放感を味わう have [enjoy] a sense of freedom; feel free; enjoy being free.

●夏休みになると解放感から非行に走る子もいる. With the summer vacation, the sense of liberation leads some children to misbehave. | When the summer vacation comes, some children go off the rails because of their feelings of release.
